Bowling Rankings, Results and Statistics

I thought it would be interesting to keep track of players' statistics in the club competitions. Points are awarded for progress in the club competitions. To ensure that this is completely fair and objective only the main singles and pairs competitions whose entry conditions allow all players to compete have been included. For example the Brock Shield is not included since previous four bowl, single handed tournament winners cannot enter it. The weekly rinks is also included.

Latest: The rankings have been updated for 2009. When you display the sheet look towards the bottom and you will see three tabs. These display the rankings fro all time, last three years and last year.

NB: If anyone has any other ideas on the presentation of club statistics please get in touch. Also, please let me know if you spot any errors in this presentation. (REPORT AN ERROR)

Ranking points are awarded as follows.

For the Championship, Brock Cup and President's Trophy 1 point is awarded for reaching a quarter final, two for a semi, four for a final and 8 for winning the trophy.

For the Two Bowl Singles 0.5 point is awarded for reaching a quarter final, one for a semi, two for a final and 4 for winning the trophy.

For the Nominated and Classified pairs competitions 0.5 point is awarded to each player for reaching a quarter final, one for a semi, two for a final and 4 for winning the trophy.

For the Club Triples 3 points are awarded to each of the winners, 1.5 to the runners up and 0.75 to the losing semi finalists. (The triples is a low entry competition so it was felt that adding points for quarter final places was not appropriate.)

For the weekly rinks 3 points are awarded to the winner, two to the runner up and one to the third place.
