The Top Table as Harry Summers Delivers the Immortal Memory

There was a large turn out of VOLBC members, guests and artistes at the 11th Annual Burns Supper held in the clubhouse on 11th February 2005. Those attending were well entertained and well catered for. The catering was excellent thanks to Ladies Captain, Morag Mckenzie, and her hardworking team.

The lassies

The piper

Piper, Malcolm Gilmour, singers, Ben Morrison and Tom McRae and choir leader, Alex Miller, provided the music.

John McKenzie, Walter Sneddon and Duncan McLean treated an appreciative audience to readings.

The Immortal Memory was ably delivered by Harry Summers, the Lassies were toasted by Bob Wyllie and the Artistes by Willie McDonald.

Each of the participating artists were warmly received and made to feel at home in the bowling club.

The artistes

The Chairman, David McDonald, proved himself to be a master of words and his links between the acts kept the supper moving along at just the right pace. It was a most successful evening and a vote of thanks is due to all who helped in any way.
