A large turnout of members and guests were treated to an evening
of top class entertainment, good food and large doses of conviviality. Musical
inputs came from Malcolm Gilmour, Ben Morrison and Tom McCrae.
A superb quartet of readers were Dr. Tom Barlow, Jack Downes,
John McDonald and David McDonald. The lasses were toasted by George McGaughey
and an excellent Immortal Memory came from Willie Murray. Bob Wylie toasted the
artistes and Chairman Walter Sneddon made sure the supper ran like clockwork.
Rave, if at times rather slurred, reviews were received from
the company and the night was judged to be a great success. Thanks are due to
Jean Lang and her team of hard working ladies, to Jim MacKinnon, Jim Lang, Alan
Duncan and Alex Shaw for their contributions to the smooth running of the preparations
and the supper.
A final thank you to the audience for their support and for their
appreciative attention.
