Presented to the club by the widow of ex-president
John L. Boyd in 2000 and awarded to the winner of the championship. |

Smollet Cup |
This is the club's oldest trophy, presented in 1891 by Patrick
Boyd Smollet of Bonhill, who succeeded to the Smollet estates
on the death of his brother Alexander in 1881. He also succeeded
his brother as Hon. President of the club. It is currently
awarded to the winner of the President's prize. |

| Burnbrae Cup |
Presented in 1931 by Honorary Patron, James Russell of "Auburn"
Alexandria. Replaced the Smollet Cup as the championship trophy
during the period 1931 -1970. Now rests in the club's trophy
display cabinet |

| Graham Stirling Cup |
Presented in 1971 by Hon. President T. Boyd Stirling L.L.B.
and Hon. V.P. William Graham. It replaced the Burnbrae cup
awarded to the club champion until itself being replaced by
the John Boyd Cup. |

| Brock Cup |
The original trophy was presented in 1908 by Henry Brock
of Auchenheglish, for single handed competition before being
retained, as agreed, by D. Paton who in 1913 won it for the
third time. Mr. Brock kindly presented another cup, this time
not to be retained! |

| Lomond Cup |
Presented in 1932 by Hon. Patron James Russell to be played
for in an annual match between Renton Bowling Club and the
Vale. |

| Kinnear Rose Bowl |
Presented in 1934 by John Kinnear, a manager in the United
Turkey Red works in Alexandria, and later an Hon.V.P. of the
club. Now awarded to the runner up in the Brock Cup Competition. |

| Brock Shield |
Presented in 1936 by Mrs. Walter Brock of "Leabank". Entry
for the Brock Shield competition is for those who have not
won a four bowl single handed tournament. (Because of our large
membership there are quite a few of these.) The "shield" was
a wooden trophy with silver mounts. A small shield was added
each year with the winner's name. When there was no more space
the whole shield was mounted on larger wooden back but his
too filled up and recently the shield has been replaced by
the Sid Pack cup. The name of the tournament has been retained. |

| Sid Pack Cup |
Presented to the Club by the family of the late S.E. Pack,
a respected bowling member and later honorary member of the
club. (See above) |

| Bisland Cup |
Presented 1958 by Thomas M. Craig. Originally for afternoon
competition by the senior members. Since 1979 it has been awarded
to the winner of the Senior championship. |

| A. Nelson Memorial Cup |
Presented to the club by the widow of member Archie Nelson
and awarded to the runner up in the championship. |

| Glen Cup |
Presented to the club in 1972 by John Glen, Hon. V.P. and
currently awarded to the winners of the classified pairs. |

| Tatlow Cup |
Presented in 1975 by The widow of Arthur Tatlow, a long standing
member of the club, and awarded to the winners of the club
fours tournament. |

| John H. Glen Cup |
Presented to the club by John Glen, Hon. V.P. and
currently awarded to the winners of the club's Nominated Triples. |
| |
|
| McLaren Trophy |
Presented to the club in 1976 by "Ginger", widow of Alex
McLaren and awarded to the winner of the two bowl singles. |
| |
|
| Mushet Plate |
Presented by the club in 1979 in memory of the first champion.
Awarded to the winners of the balloted, mixed fours. |
| |
|
| McPherson Cup |
Presented in 1975 by the widow of Alan MacPherson and awarded
each year to the winner of the Junior (U25) championship. |
| |
|
| Morrison & Ritchie Cup |
Presented to the club in 1986 by local butchers, Eddie Ritchie
and Jimm,y Morrison who were members of the club. Awarded to
the winner of the Junior (U18) Championship. |

| Eileen Patterson Trophy |
Presented to the club in 1991 by member William Patterson
in memory of his late wife. Awarded to the winners of the mixed
pairs. |

|
| H. Campbell Cup |
Awarded to the club in 1991 by the widow of member Hamilton
(Hammy) Campbell. Awarded to the winners of the mixed fours. |

|
| Fairview Cup |
Presented to the club by John Glen and named after his house.
This is awarded to the winners of the nominated pairs. |

| The Wooden Spoon |
Presented in 1946 by J.C. Ross, a former secretary of the
club. The "winner" is the person who who finishes at the wrong
end of the weekly rinks table. Traditionally he also receives
a dram from the top table at the annual supper and presentation
of prizes. Tradition also has it that he must accept and "sink"
the dram in one go! |
