Annual Supper and Presentation of Prizes

14 October 2005

Another successful annual supper was held in the clubhouse on Friday 14 October 2005. The Chairman, President Ian MacDonald welcomed the top table guests, along with the members, invited guests and those representing the associated clubs.

An excellent meal was then provided by Venue Caterers before the "chairman's remarks" during which President MacDonald spoke of achievements in the season just ended. The toast to the Vale of Leven Bowling Club was proposed in his usual humourous way by John Doran of Eastfield Bowling club. The prizegiving then commenced with Honorary President John Nicolson doing the honours.

After just a few words (no - honestly!) from our local SBA representative, Ernie Johnson, and an entertaining vote of thanks from David McDonald the formal proceedings were declared closed and the assembled throng moved downstairs to the lounge for a "wee nightcap." All in all this was another highly successful and enjoyable function.
