Vale of Leven Bowling Club Facilities

The Vale of Leven Bowling Club has two full sized greens of six rinks. In recent years these have been playing as well as any in our district. Our green keeping staff and the green ranger work hard to maintain this standard and we have been rewarded by being asked to host several important County and other matches.

With our large membership the greens are particularly busy in the evenings during the peak months of May and June. To facilitate the organisation of the many club ties that take place we use a rink booking system with two games scheduled on each rink each evening at 18:45 and 20:00 or whenever the rink becomes available.

From the upstairs balcony spectators can get a great view of play as can be seen from the above image.

We also have some great facilities for use all the year round within our clubhouse ...

Downstairs At the Vale we enjoy some of the best club facilities in the area. Our well stocked lounge bar offers a full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks. We also have a large, fully equipped Gents' locker room, an office and a games room. The games room offers a full sized snooker table, a pool table and darts.

Setanta Sports TV

We have a subscription to Setanta Sports and we show all Scottish Premier League Fixtures.

Director's Room and Hospitality Bar

Upstairs Upstairs we have a large function suite complete with another fully equipped bar. We also have a large directors' room (well, we have some large directors!). This has a hospitality bar used for entertaining guests from other clubs. There is also a directors' room which is exclusive to our ladies' section. Our kitchen facilities allow all sorts of meals to be prepared both by our ladies section members and caterers.

Views of Our Function Suite

Our hall is available for booking for private functions. Contact a member of the committee (or any member) for details.

During the winter months our Social Committee organise cabarets and dances. We also play host to the Alexandria Burns Club St. Andrew's Night celebration at the end of November and we host our own popular Burns Supper, usually at the beginning of February.
